Alejandra Ferguson is a Chilean-born painter primarily working in oil and acrylic whose practice explores emotion, memory, human relationships, and motherhood.
Alejandra uses layered colour, texture, and gesture to translate internal landscapes into visual form. Deeply influenced by the vast desert landscapes of her hometown in Chile, her work carries both the stillness and intensity of arid horizons—spaces where vulnerability and resilience coexist. Alejandra’s artistic journey has unfolded across continents. She lived and trained in Singapore, earning Certificates in Western Art and Abstract Painting at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and further developing her practice at Antonija Gros Fine Arts Studio & Gallery. In Australia, she later completed a Diploma in Creative Arts and Health at the University of Tasmania (UTAS), deepening her understanding of the relationship between artistic expression and wellbeing. She believes art is not only a means |
of expression, but also a space for reflection, healing, and connection—an invitation to return to oneself through the exploration of personal stories, lived experiences, and emotion.
