In this relaxed and inspiring session, you'll learn the art of Wash & Ink, a modern watercolour technique that combines loose, fluid washes of colour with bold ink illustration. We'll explore the dramatic beauty of Australian wildflowers, from striking banksias to bold waratahs, bringing them to life in your own unique style.
What you'll learn:
- Loose watercolour wash techniques, fluid, free and full of life
- How to layer ink and markers over watercolour for bold, graphic detail
- Adding touches of gold leaf for a luxurious decorative finish
- Composition and colour confidence.
By the end of the workshop, every guest will have created their own original A3 artwork to take home, a stunning piece you'll be genuinely proud of.
Perfect for total beginners and anyone who's ever wanted to try painting but wasn't sure where to start. This workshop is designed to be accessible, fun and creatively freeing, there are no mistakes, only happy accidents!
Your Host: Irina Iris
This workshop is led by Irina Iris, a practicing artist, art educator and creative therapist, and the founder of Iris Art Studio in Sydney. Irina brings warmth, expertise and a deep passion for making art accessible to everyone. Her teaching style is encouraging, nurturing and full of creative energy, you'll be in wonderful hands from the very first brushstroke.
