In Japanese legend, the rabbit lives on the moon, pounding mochi in offering to all who look up at the night sky. This handmade rabbit is sewn from shibori-dyed cotton with a striped resist pattern carrying warm gold and yellow tones alongside the indigo, making it the most distinctive of the three. Dressed in a red cotton haori jacket and holding a mochi of natural mother-of-pearl.
