Collage, Tarot & the Self Workshop

Collage, Tarot & the Self invites you to slow down and explore your inner landscape through collage and the rich symbolism of the tarot. Using a thoughtfully curated collection of sourced papers and images, you’ll create an intuitive self-portrait inspired by a tarot card drawn especially for you. Together we’ll explore the meanings of the cards as creative prompts, allowing intuition, reflection, and imagination to guide the process.

No experience in tarot or collage is necessary, only a willingness to play, reflect, and create. If you are looking for ways to get your creative juices flowing this workshop is for you. 

About the tutor:

Rebecca Austin is a Brisbane-based artist whose practice explores themes of belonging, memory, symbolism, and the inner self through painting, collage, and drawing. With a Bachelor of Fine Art from Griffith University, she creates intuitive, layered works that blend personal reflection with art history, mythology, and the natural world.

Rebecca believes creativity is a powerful way to reconnect with ourselves. Her workshops offer a welcoming and supportive space where participants can slow down, explore their own visual language, and enjoy the process of making without pressure. Drawing on thoughtfully sourced materials and symbolic practices such as tarot, she encourages curiosity, playfulness, and meaningful self-expression.
