Upcoming Exhibitions
Creative Room's exhibition program is shaped by dialogue, each show bringing its own rhythm and its own way of asking to be seen. We invite visitors to slow down and encounter each artist's work on its own terms. Below is what awaits at the gallery in the months ahead.
The Great Boat Approaches
Deborah Norrie-Jones
The Great Boat Approaches brings together poetry, archival works and recent paintings by Meanjin/Brisbane-based artist Deborah Norrie-Jones. Reflecting on her husband’s terminal illness, their travels, return home and life after his death, the exhibition explores love, grief, memory and mortality through gestural drawings, watercolours, oils and abstract figurative paintings.
