Black & White Still Life | Acrylic Path Series

Working in monochrome allows you to focus on the essentials of painting: shape, volume, tonal values, light and shadow. Guided step by step, you will learn how to observe your subject, build a balanced composition and use different values to create a convincing sense of form and depth.

This workshop is a practical introduction to some of the most important principles of realistic painting and is suitable for complete beginners as well as those wanting to strengthen their foundations.

About the tutor

Libby Protsan is a Brisbane-based visual artist with a strong technical foundation and a particular interest in colour, nature and expressive painting. Alongside her studio practice, she facilitates art programs across Brisbane, Ipswich and Springfield.
